You really have a thing for trees don't you?
So do I! I Iove nature.
This piece is very impressive and you should be proud. What about it do I like so much? Well, let me tell you. You obviously worked damn hard, so I will do you the courtesy of letting you know precisely what is so great about this piece
To begin with, the shadowing and shading here are impeccable. Absolutely impeccable. I almost feel silly saying something so mundane, but it needs to be stated. The fading patches of grass, the shadow cast by the tree, even the gentle glow of the hanging cocoons from the branches are all splendidly done.
Secondly, I must praise the background. As an artist who has struggled for a while with how to add an adaquete landscape to otherwise bland pictures of solitary characters, I feel that the mountain scene is suitably peaceful, otherworldly and instantly striking. The golden beam of light poking through and illuminating the scene below is a wonderful touch, and gave me instant memories of the wonderful sunlight that always seems to bless us after a downpour, turning the whole world a shade of gold.
Thirdly, I think I love this so much simply because of how positive it is. The blooming plants atop the tree, the little stone path, the welcoming glow from inside the house and the rushing water. It looks like a sleepy paradise, and like any good paradise, puts a big smile on the face of whoever beholds it.
Thank you for creating this and sharing it with us
It may sound foolish, but your work has cheered me up today. Exactly what a good piece of art should do
